Communications Suite: New Direction for Documentation

Looks like a documentation wiki is becoming more and more the likely future for Comms Suite technical information. As I've been writing about here and here, we're seriously considering changing the way in which we deliver technical information to you. And the natural inclination these days is to use a wiki, at least for all the upcoming new information for the next release.

Just so happens that Sun has a site that will let us do this, wikis.sun.com. So I've been experimenting this past week with creating a structure to enable us (and you, the Comms community) to organize the huge suite of Comms Suite information. Part of the issue with structure is how to organize a wiki space that consists of multiple products (like Comms Suite), and make sure that all the information hangs together without creating too many nested structures.

I hope to be able to share more details soon, but in the meantime, keep all those great suggestions, comments, and ideas coming, either in the Comments section below or directly to me.

Comments:

Could the new doc wiki have a page discussing patching dependancies. For example since Comms Express uses Access Manager when a patch comes out for SUNWam a note could be added to update Comms Express.

In general, I think this could be a nice use of the wiki.
