Falling behind here on my reporting from the Comms Software Summit, so some more quick take-aways from Day I (right before Day III starts):
- Communication Center (with a cool name change in the works) is not just a Web 2.0 Ajax client. You need to start thinking of it as a web services app platform. Lots of cool potential uses for both enterprises and ISPs.
- I can see the possibility to want to share widgets that get developed for this platform. Does that sound like an idea that the Comms community could get behind? Or is there too much proprietary dev time/$/info to preclude that possibility? (Isn't it all about being open and sharing these days?)
- Comms Roadmap: Can't really give the details, but from the big picture, there is plenty to get excited about. I think of the upcoming Kendo release as just the start of a resurgence for Comms along many many fronts.
