Who manages the Exadata machine?

The 2012 edition of the Exadata Partner Community Forum (Istanbul, March 14-15, 2012) will be run in parallel with the Manageability Partner Community Forum. And this is not by chance but because there are clear areas of common interest between both.

During an Exadata sale and implementation, one of the areas of discussion at the customer -which may have a strong impact during the sales cycle- is around who has responsibility for the Exadata machine. Given that Exadata is a complete system, what should be the roles of the systems staff, the storage guys and the DBAs?

A very interesting reading is the post "Who manages the Exadata machine?", in Arup Nanda's blog. Very worth reading!
