Save the Date: Oracle Exadata, Systems & Storage and Manageability EMEA Partner Communities Special Session at Oracle OpenWorld
29 September 2014, 15:30 to 17:30 local time, San Francisco

Focus on Database As a Service (DBaaS)

Dear partner,

As customers move towards cloud architectures, Database-as-a-Service becomes a key foundation on which to build their private cloud.

During Oracle OpenWorld 2014, we will hold a special session around DBaaS for partners who are members of the Oracle Exadata, Manageability or Systems & Storage EMEA Partner Communities.

Save the Date! Oracle Exadata, Systems & Storage and Manageability EMEA Partner Communities

Date: 29th September, 2014 Time: 15:30 - 17:30 Local Time San Francisco

The goal of the session is to help you understand the different alternatives that you have for building a private DBaaS infrastructure. When and why should you be using Oracle Exadata, Oracle Database Appliance (ODA), Oracle SPARC SuperCluster, Oracle Virtual Compute Appliance (OVCA) or Oracle SPARC Servers? How does each of these platforms meet specific customer requirements? Which Oracle Storage systems give you the best performance, efficiency and ease of integration? Once you have consolidated your databases, how can you move to a full DBaaS environment using Oracle Enterprise Manager?

The session will include presentations by Oracle representatives, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A hosted by Oracle and Partner executives.

On March 14-15th we have celebrated our 2012 Exadata Partner Community EMEA Forum, in Istanbul, Turkey. It has been an intense two days, packed with great content and a lot of networking. Organizing it jointly with the Manageability Partner Forum has allowed participants to benefit from the content of the Manageability sessions, which is a topic that is becoming key as we move to cloud architectures.

During the sessions we have listened to two thought-leaders in our industry, Ron Tolido, from Capgemni, and Julian Dontcheff, from Accenture. We thank our Exadata partners -ISE (Germany), Inserve (Sweden), Fors (Russia), Linkplus (Turkey) and Sogeti,  for sharing with the community their experiences in selling and implementing Exadata and Manageability projects.

The slide decks used in the presentations are now available for download at the Exadata Partner Community Collaborative Workspace (for community members only - if you get an error message, please register for the Community first).

I want to thank all who have participated at the event, and look forward to meeting again at next year's Forum.
