Hot off the back of announcing the World's Fastest OLTP Database Machine, Exadata Product Management is proud to announce the availability of the Oracle Dual Port 100 Gb Ethernet Adapter for Exadata X9M.
This new PCIe 4.0 Add-in Card, available as the 3rd network card of the Exadata X9M-2 Database Servers, can be ordered as part of initial deployment, or as an addition post-install. The card adds 2x 100Gb/s QSFP28 ports for high-speed1 access to Exadata Database Servers.
Use it for blazing fast application connectivity to Oracle Database instances, or as a massive 200Gb/s (LACP bonded) pipe to backup infrastructure, such as Oracle Recovery Appliance or ZFS Storage, or even Data Guard to local or remote Disaster Recovery Exadata infrastructure.
Don't have 100Gb/s network infrastructure just yet? Why not take advantage of the network card's ability to step down the speed to 25Gb/s or 10Gb/s and connect to existing SFP28/SFP+ network infrastructure. #Exadata #FutureProof
To take advantage of the Dual Port 100 Gb Ethernet Adapter for Exadata X9M-2, apply the latest Exadata 21.2 Sustaining Release, Exadata Software 21.2.5, due out in the coming week (stay tuned for announcement). Then, use OEDA to select the card:

1 For the interested, PCIe Slot 2 is a x16 PCIe 4.0 slot that supports the full line rate bandwidth of 2x100GE.
