AutoVue 20.2.2 now supports SolidWorks 2014 format

On the heels of my previous blog post announcing support for SolidEdge ST6 format in AutoVue 20.2.2, I’m pleased to announce that Oracle Dev today added support for SolidWorks 2014 format in AutoVue 20.2.2 (also via a generally-available patch). The patch is available for download through the My Oracle Support portal, and additional details are included in KM Note 1605858.1.
Comments:

AutoVue 20.2.2 does NOT display any SolidWorks 2014 files that I have tested.

Russ,

Sorry to hear you're running into issues viewing SolidWorks 2014 files. As mentioned in my blog post, it first requires installing a patch on top of AutoVue 20.2.2. Make sure you've shut down AutoVue before installing the patch, and try clearing your AutoVue streaming file cache before starting AutoVue & re-testing. Also make sure your installed flavor of AutoVue (per your specific license agreement) is either AutoVue 3D Professional or AutoVue Electro-Mechanical Professional.

If you continue to experience issues viewing SolidWorks 2014 files, please submit a Service Request through the My Oracle Support portal and our Support team will be happy to look into the issue with you.

Thanks,
Graham

I am looking for the patch to Autovue 20.2.2 that allows support for SolidWorks 2014. I have searched but can not find the download. Can you help point me in the right direction.

Hi Jack,

Sorry to hear that you ran into difficulties tracking down the patch. Did you read through the knowledge base article that I referenced in my blog post (KM Note 1605858.1)? This article lists the patch number for the SolidWorks 2014 format support, and includes a hyperlink directly to the patch download page. This of course requires that you have an account/profile registered in the My Oracle Support portal (which is the same requirement if you want to download the patch).

Thanks,
Graham
