Engineered to Attract

Once Again, the Oracle Engineered Systems Showcase Is Drawing Large Crowds

Last year, the Oracle Engineered Systems Showcase in Moscone North was one of the most popular destinations for Oracle OpenWorld attendees outside of the sessions. And this year, the same has been true.

As one Oracle representative in the showcase said, “Our customers are gung ho about engineered systems. They get it.” Using an automobile analogy, the representative went on to say, “They just want to drive. They don’t want to be mechanics.”

And the latest models to drive are on display. One of the biggest hits has been Oracle Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance. “It’s perfect for customers with lots of Oracle databases,” said another representative in the showcase. “It simplifies backup and recovery.” Also popular has been Oracle Virtual Compute Appliance, which is designed for rapid deployment of infrastructure hardware and application software.

Come see all the models:

  • Oracle Database Appliance
  • Oracle Big Data Appliance
  • Oracle Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance
  • Oracle Exadata Database Machine
  • Oracle SuperCluster M6-32
  • Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine X4-4
  • Oracle Exadata storage expansion rack
  • Oracle Virtual Compute Appliance
  • Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine T5-8
  • Oracle SuperCluster T5-8

The Oracle Engineered Systems Showcase will be open until 4:00 p.m. today, Thursday. It’s in the lower lobby of Moscone North, next to the keynote area.
