New Programs & Enrollments OPN Membership System

The Oracle PartnerNetwork is pleased to announce Membership Programs and Enrollments (P&E) are now live in the Oracle Partner Store (OPS). OPS now offers P&E processes that are streamlined, automated, and fully integrated with deal registration and ordering.

HOPE V Extended until December 31st 2013

The current version of HOPE (HOPE V) has been extended to December 31, 2013 to allow a few extra weeks to obtain approvals for its successor, HOPE VI. All other Details of the HOPE V announcement from June 6th (Products, Configurations, Discounts etc.) remain unchanged.

OPS Deal Registration – Processing Delays October 16th – October 22nd

Due to scheduled Fusion system downtime, partners will experience delays in receiving deal registration approvals from October 16 through October 22, 2013. OPS will remain available and partners can submit registrations during the Fusion downtime. Normal service levels will resume as soon as possible. Please ensure your partners have submitted any urgent deal registrations prior to October 15, 6pm pacific to allow for processing before system downtime. Please contact your OMM Deal Registration lead for further information.

Scheduled System Downtime Oct 16-21: Review And Be Prepared

We will be experiencing an internal system downtime from Wednesday, October 16 at 6pm PT until Monday, October 21 at 8:00am PT, which will have an impact on the Oracle Partner Store and XML ordering, deal registrations, the OPN Solutions Catalog, and the OPN Competency Center.

Deal Registration
You will experience delays in receiving deal registration approval.  Normal service levels will resume as soon as possible. Please ensure you have submitted any urgent deal registrations prior to Tuesday, October 15 at 6pm PT to allow for processing before system downtime.

Resell Rights
During this downtime, the Oracle Partner Store and XML will not be conducting the pre-placement resell rights validation.  All validations will be done post-submission.

Oracle Partner Store Carts
The Opportunity ID field in the Oracle Partner Store will not be validated during this downtime.  This field will still be updatable, but all validations will be done post order placement.

OPN Solutions Catalog and OPN Competency Center
These tools will be available, but any data additions or modifications will not be reflected until the data synchronization is completed, which may not occur until Monday, October 28.

Online Transactional Oracle Master Agreement (T-OMA) Announcement

Effective June 29th, the Online Transactional Oracle Master Agreement (Online T-OMA) will be initiated by partners via the Oracle Partner Store (OPS). This means all Oracle Partners using the Online T-OMA must have an OPS account. Online T-OMA page on OPN. Changes to the Demo Equipment Purchase Program Process

Effective immediately, Oracle will no longer require the end customer on demo orders to have “Demo” in the name. Please follow the below process when placing demo orders.

  • VAD buying for own use = VAD will be the end customer (no demo in the name)

  • VAD reselling to a partner = partner will be the end customer (no demo in the name)

All other ordering requirements remain the same. You can locate the revised ordering instructions on the VAD Resource Center or here.

OPS Training and Testing team

The Oracle Partner Order Automation Team (OPOAT) has implemented the OPS Testing and Training Team. This team will cater to all internal and external needs relating to OPS testing, training and documentation.

Partners/VADs can register for OPS trainings sessions held by the training team via OPS Home or our OPN page. There are also training viewlets and documentations available on the OPS training center page

Monthly update calls to all EMEA VADs to talk about OPS and XML/EDI enhancements (as appropriate) and other topics that are relevant in regards to online / electronic ordering. These calls are also an open platform to answer questions and hear feedback or suggestions in regards of the online orderings tools and their improvement.
