We are already the world’s second biggest SaaS (Software as a Service) provider, with the number one spot firmly in our sights. Our PaaS (Platform as a Service) and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) are also growing rapidly.
The key thing about Oracle is that we will offer all the layers of the cloud rather than just focusing on one tier. One way to get a feel for the breadth of offer is to check out cloud.oracle.com. Many of these services are already in or soon will be available for trial, and you can expect some exciting announcements at Oracle Open World.
This means that your customers will have the option of deploying part or all of their systems onto the Oracle Cloud.
The Oracle Cloud is a great platform for deploying custom Java applications that you have developed with or for your customers. The Oracle Java Cloud Service has been extended, and now offers dedicated virtual machines for your WebLogic Server cluster. These have Weblogic 11g or 12c installed and management tooling.
So if you have Java EE or ADF applications that you would like to try or showcase on the Oracle Cloud, please let us know (email Pascal Giraud), and you can demonstrate to your customers that you are a leader with this new platform. To get a free test account please read my previous blog post or visit www.cloud.oracle.com
