Oracle WebLogic Server instances are the foundation for Java EE applications and Oracle Fusion Middleware, including SOA, BPM, and so on. But even as important as Oracle WebLogic Server instances are for organizations, there are no out-of-the-box scripts for booting Oracle WebLogic Server instances automatically when the server itself boots.
Jon Petter Hjulstad and I will during our presentation at Oracle OpenWorld 2014 (CON3633) discuss why you should have standardized boot scripts, describe the role of Node Manager in booting Oracle WebLogic Server instances, walk through real-life boot scripts, and demonstrate how they really work. There are many example scripts available on the Internet, and many opinions on how to make the best solution. We are trying to have a pragmatic approach, and will show a solution that is as simple as possible, but still working in a production environment. If you want, feel free to extend the solution so it fits your specific requirements.
At the end of this session, you will be able to make your own Oracle WebLogic Server boot script, either from scratch or by customizing the scripts provided as part of the presentation, and deploy them to your own system
