Partner webcast - Oct.26 - High Availability and Disaster Recovery with Oracle Cloud

The High Availability and Disaster Recovery needs of customers traditionally have required significant capital investment in the infrastructure that provides the redundant capabilities that are needed and a lot of guidance leading to Oracle publishing detailed Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) Best Practices. The goal of MAA was and remains to achieve the optimal high availability architecture at the lowest cost and complexity. With the cloud this situation has changed drastically, allowing customers to design hybrid solutions in which the redundancy to the production on-premise systems is provided by cloud services, strongly reducing the need for capital investment in redundant infrastructure. Maximum Availability is now updated with the introduction of Oracle Cloud, enabling a more efficient utility model of computing. In this webcast, exclusive for Oracle partners, you will learn how the Oracle IaaS and Paas cloud services can add high availability and disaster recovery features to the customers' on-premise systems. You will understand how to position and present the value proposition to customers, and what are the resources available to help you in the sales process. We will discuss different scenarios, matching any  level of criticality and budget, and the economic and operational benefits obtained when compared to on-premise solutions.   Agenda: Customer requirements for High Availability & Disaster Recovery Pain Points Oracle Cloud Services for High Availability & Disaster Recovery Target Customers and Value Proposition Resources for Partners Presenters:  Jesus Robles, Director, Cloud and Core Technology, Oracle EMEA Javier Puerta, Director, DB Cloud & Infrastructure Partner Programs, Oracle EMEA Delivery Format This FREE online LIVE eSeminar will be delivered over the Web. Oracle Customer Support Services has sent to Exadata Installation Partner the following communication. (See original communication here: http://www.oracle.com/partners/campaign/resources/serial-number-partner-update-3761107.html)       New Exadata Serial Number Partner Update Process Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) members who have fulfilled the requirements to perform Hardware Installation Services for the Exadata Database Machine now have a new process for providing Oracle with the updated product Serial Number upon completion of an upgrade or Storage and/or Switch expansion of an Engineered System rack. Effective immediately, the Engineered Systems Upgrade Partner Serial Number Update Template should be used to submit a Service Request in My Oracle Support (MOS) for making the necessary updates in the Oracle Install Base, and complete instructions on this process are also available online.  Please note that this new process does not take the place of the existing installation reporting requirement, which is still mandatory.  Visit the OPN Portal website for full details on Partner Installation Services, including program requirements, installation resources, and the reporting template.  Please contact support-partner-questions_ww_grp@oracle.com with any questions about this message (use the Subject Line: “Engineered Systems Upgrade SN”).   Thank you,  Oracle Customer Support Services Stay Connected   Contact Us OPN Communications Subscriptions OPN Blog Get Resources OPN Portal Oracle Partner Store Market Your Offerings

Partner Webcast – Thursday, Apr 06th - Cloud@Customer: Sales opportunities for Partners with Oracle Cloud Machine and Exadata Cloud Machine

Customers have a clear understanding of the value Cloud can bring to their business. They see the potential for speeding new applications to market.  They want the agility and flexibility that cloud models deliver.  And, of course, they desperately want a predictable IT cost structure that’s transparent. However there are situations in which customers cannot move their applications outside of their firewall. There might be data sovereignty or compliance requirements.  Or perhaps a need to control critical systems and applications.  Or it might simply be that a public cloud model introduces too much latency between application components. Oracle's Cloud@Customer offering allows customer to access Oracle Cloud Services from behind their firewall.  They subscribe to Oracle Cloud Machine or to Exadata Cloud Machine, just like Oracle Public cloud and consume it like a service, but the infrastructure, the data and the applications sit at the customer premises. All the infrastructure is managed by Oracle just like Oracle’s Public Cloud. In this webcast, exclusive for Oracle partners, you will understand the Cloud@Product offering and the target market, learn how to position and present the value proposition to customers, how you as a partner can resell Oracle Cloud Machine and Exadata Cloud Machine, and what are the resources available to you. Agenda: Cloud@Customer: Target Market & Key Audience Value Proposition Product Overview: Oracle Cloud Machine & Exadata Cloud Machine Competitive Landscape & Differentiation Oracle Partners Model Resources for Partners Summary – Q&A Presenter:  · Koen van den Berg, Director, Engineered Systems Business Development, Oracle EMEA · Javier Puerta, Director, DB Cloud & Infrastructure Partner Programs, Oracle EMEA Delivery Format This FREE online LIVE eSeminar will be delivered over the Web.
