Oracle IoT Cloud Apps in the news and on the big stage

Richard Lefebvre

Things are moving fast in the IoT world. Oracle launched its Internet of Things Cloud Applications in February of this year. Since then, these applications have been making news.

Just last week. Oracle issued a press release about the new enhancements for its IoT Cloud and the new industry solutions for digital field service, smart connected factories, and digital fleet management. Subsequently, Oracle executives presented on the same topic to a roomful of journalists, and in turn, those journalists published several articles (listed below), which include recaps of the news and several salient opinions.

IoT Cloud Applications debut at OpenWorld 2017

We will be showing how these apps, in combination with our SCM, ERP and CX Cloud offerings, really do change the industry we work in and position Oracle as a market leader. From keynote presentations to the demo grounds, attendees will see how our IoT Cloud Applications:

  • Enable the factory, the vehicle, the cargo or the customers’ product to be digitally modeled within the SCM process
  • Use live IoT data and enable it to be viewed and analysed in real-time
  • Help predict upcoming issues and opportunities
  • Deliver action and event data into R13 SCM Cloud products to support business objectives and outcomes
