New solutions: Oracle Engagement Cloud

In
OpenWorld 2016, we announced the Oracle Engagement Cloud, the new unified sales
and service cloud offering.

Oracle
Engagement Cloud, introduced at Oracle OpenWorld 2016, augments the sales force automation
and modern sales performance management of Oracle Sales Cloud with key service capabilities, enabling
salespeople to offer services and enabling support agents to cross-sell
products. These unified sales and service capabilities set Oracle Engagement
Cloud apart by enabling a company to break down information barriers between
departments so that employees can have informed, one-stop interactions with
high-value customers.

    Will this replace Oracle sales cloud and Oracle Service Cloud? If not why?

    Also, how can I get a demo instance of Oracle Engagement Cloud?

    Engagement Cloud is build on the Oracle Fusion Application architecture stack and encompasses sales and service processes tightly integrated with each others. As for the time being, its Service capabilities are covering the needs of B2B companies whereas high volume services requests are better handled by Oracle Service Cloud (aka RightNow). The process to get an access to an Engagement Cloud partner demo environment is the same as for any other Oracle SaaS solution (please refer to OPN), subject to availability.
