Augmented reality solves real-world problems

You’re not alone if augmented reality (AR) still feels a bit like science fiction. It’s one thing to try to catch cute little creatures with your smartphone, but using AR to be more productive at work is quite another. So when ZDNet columnist Michael Krigsman says that Oracle’s demo of field service management is “one example where the value of AR is obvious and dramatic,” you have to see it for yourself.

In his article entitled “Augmented reality: Oracle builds a compelling case,” Krigsman includes an engaging video of Oracle’s Robert Surujbhan showing how AR technology, together with Field Service Cloud, Policy Automation, and Commerce Cloud, makes it easy to repair a complex piece of equipment.
