Fusion Learning Center News

The Fusion Learning Center portal now includes more than 1,600 learning assets.

With so many assets, we have re-organized this portal slightly by introducing a new References section in the right lower corner, where we are providing quick links to the key assets.

Furthermore, we have introduced a new Release Readiness section in the left navigation. Currently this points to the latest release; Release 4. We will be updating this section to also include the ability to stripe the assets by release. More to come on this later!

Oracle Fusion Applications 11g Release 4

Oracle Fusion Applications 11g Release 4, formerly referred to as RUP 3, focuses on enhancements to the existing functional footprint. These additional capabilities focus on providing an improved user experience, more extensibility and additional flexibility in how customers choose to implement Oracle Fusion Applications functionality to meet their business requirements. 

Release 4 continues our commitment to deliver enhancements to existing functionality that our customers tell us are important to their business and to deliver new and compelling capabilities that drive innovation and make Fusion the new standard for applications in the marketplace.

Oracle Fusion Applications 11g Release 4 is now available on
My Oracle Support: Bug 13936357 - ORACLE FUSION APPLICATIONS 11G RELEASE 4 (, and the target date for eDelivery is May 10th, 2012. It is currently available on Linux x86-64 and English, with additional platforms and languages available soon.

Fusion Learning Center (FLC) new features and content

Here are the highlights of recently added content to the Fusion Learning Center (FLC):

  • Sales Positioning webinars have been updated with content from CRM
  • Functional TOIs, Demo, and Update documents are published across all families spanning Releases 2 and 3. These are available from within the Functional section on the Fusion Learning Center.
  • Release Content Documents: What's New have been published on My Oracle Support for customer consumption in addition on the FLC. These are new documents highlighting What is New in the releases post V1.0 (Releases 2,3 and 4).
  • Data Sheets are published and available on for V1.0. 42 Data Sheets been published across all families.
  • Two documents covering Licensing information have been added to the Pricing and Licensing section:

Analyst Report: IDC is bullish about Oracle Fusion Applications!

In a recent report, IDC express a very positive view on Oracle Fusion Applications:

" Oracle Fusion Applications, built on a modern platform, incorporate many of the key design principles that are necessary in the next generation of enterprise applications, including embedding analytics and social functionality into the work processes and increasing the availability of key functionality across multiple mobile devices (...) Oracle's move to offer more applications in both the public and the private cloud will be well received by customers, offering choice about when and where to take advantage of the benefits that such a deployment enables over on-premise applications."

The recommended online training sessions provide sales training solutions that equip the sales teams with high-level of product knowledge, market knowledge and selling strategies to help them achieve own revenue targets. Passing the assessment test with a score of 80% or more will enable you to become an Oracle Sales Specialist, which will be your first step on the way to Oracle Fusion CRM specialization.
