Oracle Hyperion Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS) R13.2 eSeminar

Hyperion Partners can catch up on the latest version of PBCS from the Oracle development PTS team. During this eSeminar we will discuss the proposition for your clients from PBCS, and see how it is sold and implemented; providing flexible deployment and fast adoption. Endeca Fundamentals 3-day Partner Training Bootcamp

Nov 4 - Nov 6, 2014 at Oracle Office Reading, UK : Partners from all countries welcome.

The Oracle Endeca Information Discovery (OEID) Bootcamp is a three-day class which will start with the introduction of Endeca within the Oracle Business Analytics proposition. The underlying architecture and technology are also covered in detail. The explanation of Endeca is combined with a workshop which consists of several well prepared exercises which will give the attendees a good hands-on experience they can use in a customer environment. Participants will learn how to develop & implement solutions using a Data Discovery method. This training will be given by Aorta Business Intelligence who is an Oracle Approved Education Center partner for OBIEE and OEID in EMEA.

Learn to:

  • Position the OEID architecture (Integration Suite, Endeca Server, Endeca Studio).
  • Install OEID.
  • Work with social media sources.
  • Extract data from different kind of sources by building ETL graphs.
  • Crawl data from external sources by using the Content Acquisition System (CAS).
  • Work with Text Enrichment.

PBCS Hyperion Planning in the Cloud Implementation Workshop

Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS) opens up opportunities for organizations of all sizes to streamline planning and forecasting, accelerate deployment, and reduce costs.

This one-day in-person workshop is delivered by Oracle Development (free to OPN member partners), and will cover the handoff from selling-to-implementing of PBCS. Although the basic building blocks are the same as with on-premises Planning, there is a paradigm shift when it comes to selling and implementing a Cloud Service solution. The value proposition behind Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service is all about the deployment model, how it’s sold and how it gets implemented – simplicity, fast adoption and flexible deployment, without sacrificing first-class functionality.

To be successful, the entire cycle from sales to implementation should consistently support this value proposition to your clients. This training event is for OPN member partners whose business roles involve presales, implementation consulting, and support. This workshop briefly reviews the sales approach, as background, with emphasis on partner sales support. The main objective is to learn what is needed to successfully implement Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service once the sales hand off is made – how to leverage your current Hyperion Planning knowledge and use the features designed specifically to build out a Cloud Service solution.

PBCS also implements several layers to ensure security, including password protected single sign-on, role based access to features, and access control on forms and other artifacts. Live Virtual Class for Implementation of OBI Applications 11g using ODI

If you have a near-term project for your clients to implement OBI Applications version 11g using ODI (the current version), then this 3-day Live Virtual Class should help to fill any skills gaps. It is scheduled to run from the 09-Apr-2014, 28-May-2014, and 18-Jun-2014 in English from 3:00 PM.

This course will train partners in skills to implement the OBI Applications version 11g using ODI, delivered by Oracle University; providing step-by-step procedures for installing, configuring, managing, and customizing Oracle Business Intelligence Applications and Oracle Business Intelligence Warehouse with Oracle Data Integrator and perform post-installation set up. Students will need to pay for this course, but OPN member partners can claim their normal OU discount.
