As higher education continues to feel pressure to reduce costs and improve efficiency, campus leaders are focused on building the programs and support to support student success. To do this they must hire top faculty and staff to deliver these programs and create the experience that students expect and demand.
Technology and process play a big role in this shift. Today, many schools are taking a hard look at both, with the goal of improving the value of degree for all students. Our most recent webinar with the University of Wyoming, outlined some practical strategies for successfully moving any college or university to the cloud. I had a discussion with Jennifer Chavez, Director of IT at the University of Wyoming who described how the institution assessed and selected a cloud platform to replace the school’s outdated financial and HR systems, and how this cloud model will benefit the university by improving efficiency and reducing costs.
