Now Available: Multi-node Topology Support for Integrated SOA Gateway on Release 12.1.1
By .Rajesh.-Oracle on Oct 02, 2010
The multi-node topology support is available now for Integrated SOA Gateway customers on Release 12.1.1. This is distributed via Oracle Metalink patch 9980832:R12.OWF.B.
What does this patch achieve?
Until now the deployment of Webservices was limited to a single middle tier node for Integrated SOA Gateway customers on 12.1.1. In other words, the service end-points could not refer a common load-balancer address. Following application of this patch, customers will be able to deploy Webservices across multiple middle tier nodes of an Oracle E-Business Suite instance. Such service end-points would become available from a single load-balancer or web entry-point address.
Are there manual configuration changes involved?
Yes. The Oracle Metalink Note 1196642.1 has been updated with manual configuration steps needed to get the multi-node support. The service deployment has to be performed on all the middle-tier nodes as described in the document.
Where can I get more information about this patch?
As mentioned above, Oracle Metalink Note 1196642.1 contains detailed information about the multi-node configuration changes required. In case you need further assistance, please feel free to post comments.
