[Oct. 24, 2013 Update: Database 12.1.0.1 is certified with the E-Business Suite]

The Oracle Database 12c is now officially released.  We're as excited about this new database release as you are.

In fact, we've been testing a wide variety of E-Business Suite releases and configurations with internal DB 12c betas for some time.  This testing is going well, but as usual, Oracle's Revenue Recognition rules prohibit us from discussing certification and release dates

You're welcome to monitor or subscribe to this blog. I'll post updates here as soon as soon as they're available.

    Hi Steven,

Great to hear this news. I was wondering what would be next to i-internet and g-grid jargon. Oracle did it again. It is now 12c. Please tell us what does "c" stand for?.

Something to do with pluggable database concept?

    Thanks and Regards,

    Rajasekaran.

    Hi, Rajasekaran,

"c" in this context stands for "Cloud."

    Regards,

    Steven

    Steven,

Do customers need to buy any additional license to upgrade existing databases (10g,11g etc) to 12c?

    Thanks,

    D.K Singh

Following Larry's OOW13 In-Memory Database options for 12c announcement, I can see some huge opportunities in performance using these features with EBS ... so now really waiting most keenly for news on when 12c will be certified for use with EBS 12.0 / .1 / .2 ... :-)

    Hello, D.K.,

I'm not a licencing specialist, but I believe that your existing licences are for the Oracle Database. Licences are not version-specific.

You should contact your Oracle account manager for a definitive answer.

    Regards,

    Steven

    Hi Steven,

Do we have ETA when will this be certified with EBS 12.1.X or 12.2.X?

Also I have seen your blog regarding 12.2 release, just wondering what is the database version built-in to it?

    Thanks,

    EJ
