Oracle Application Management Suite provides central configuration management capabilities that you can leverage to compare the configurations of your on-premises and cloud-based E-Business Suite environments. With these capabilities, you can:

  • Compare configurations between Oracle Cloud environments and on-premises environments.
  • Ensure standardization of configurations across E-Business Suite environments.
  • Troubleshoot issues that might be the result of a mismatch between configurations.
  • Schedule configuration comparisons to detect and notify you of configuration drifts.
  • Compare run edition configuration changes with patch edition configuration changes for E-Business Suite Release 12.2 to ensure that integrity is maintained during patching or manual configuration changes.
  • Compare technology components and versions, patches, customizations, printer setups, key profile options, and a host of other configurations.

Oracle Application Management Suite for Oracle E-Business Suite collects EBS technology stack configuration information at regular intervals and inserts this information into the Oracle Enterprise Manager Management Repository. Oracle Enterprise Manager acts as a central repository of all configuration information, which enables comparison of environments on premises and on Oracle Cloud. You can compare your configurations using time-based configuration snapshots, or you can schedule configuration comparisons between multiple Oracle E-Business Suite instances. You control the information-collection frequency, which is set to every 24 hours by default.
