February 2018 EBS Cloud Admin Tool Updates for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic

We are pleased to announce immediate availability of the latest update to the EBS Cloud Admin Tool for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic.

Note: This is distinct from the release of the equivalent tool for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (formerly Bare Metal Cloud Services) covered in February 2018 EBS Cloud Admin Tool Updates for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

You can use the newest version of this menu-driven tool to easily create, configure and manage Oracle E-Business Suite on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic Compute and related database services.

Obtaining the EBS Cloud Admin Tool

Instructions for installing the tool from scratch, or upgrading an existing tool to the 18.1.1 codelevel, are included in the following Oracle by Example tutorial:

New Features and Enhancements

New features and enhancements include:

  • Support for Identity Management Datacenters: Previous versions of the tool supported Traditional Cloud Accounts only. This release adds support for the more recently introduced Cloud Accounts with Identity Cloud Service. To learn more, see Types of Oracle Cloud Accounts in Getting Started with Oracle Cloud.
  • Additional automation flows: Automated multinode provisioning of Oracle E-Business Suite on OCI Classic now supports the following new combinations for Exadata CS RAC:
    • EBS 12.2.6 with Database - Fresh
    • EBS 12.2.6 with Database - Demo
  • Improvements to core modules: Many fixes and improvements were made to the core modules that provide support to the EBS Cloud Admin Tool.
