In a previous blog post, Announcing E-Business Suite: WLS (WebLogic Server) Utility! we announced the EBS WLS Utility (WLSU) which identifies known issues and provides solutions and recommended actions to be performed for the specific instance it was run on and can be run at any time on a running system. This utility will help customers to service the E-Business WLS environment. The utility is used to review WLS related data, current configurations and settings. The results provides Metric Data along with Log Data and known issues/solutions.
A System Administrator was experiencing issues with the EBS environment and used the EBS WLSU to help save time in analysis. They reviewed several metrics from their EBS environment to help isolate issues.
After noticing the memory was smaller than the recommended setting and their JDBC Pool Percentage threshold wasn't too high. They knew the error was coming from the managed server so they continued to look for what was causing the immediate problems. Upon reviewing the logs they found a high number of errors:
