What Are the Conditions For a Successful Transfer to Assets via Mass Additions Create?

Cindy Bond
Technical Analyst

What are the conditions that need to be met for an invoice line to be successfully transferred from Accounts Payable (AP) to Fixed Assets (FA) using Mass Additions Create?

These are the conditions for invoice line distributions to be transferred to Fixed Assets:

  • The line is charged to an account set up as an Asset account.
  • The account is set up for an existing Asset Category as either the Asset Clearing Account or the CIP Clearing Account.
  • The Track as Asset check box is checked.  It is automatically checked if the account is an Asset account.
  • The invoice is approved and Create Accounting was run.
  • The invoice line distribution is posted to Oracle General Ledger from Payables.
  • The General Ledger date on the invoice line distribution is on or before the date you specify for the Mass Additions Create (APMACR / FAMACR) program.
  • If you use the multiple organizations feature, your Payables operating unit must be tied to the same General Ledger Set of Books as the corporate book for which you want to run Mass Additions Create.
  • Note that if an Item Line is not charged to an Asset Account, then a tax line or other line associated with it is also not eligible to get Interfaced to Fixed Assets from Payables.

Here are the conditions for EXPENSED invoice line distributions to be transferred to Fixed Assets:

  • The invoice line distribution is charged to an Expense account.
  • The Track As Asset box is manually checked.
  • The invoice is approved and Create Accounting was run.
  • The invoice line distribution is posted to Oracle General Ledger from Oracle Payables.
  • The General Ledger date on the invoice line distribution is on or before the date you specify for the Mass Additions Create program.
  • Your installation of Payables must be tied to the same General Ledger Set of Books as the corporate book for which you want to run Mass Additions Create.
