Reconciling Receivables to General Ledger

Michele Casey
Principal Technical Support Engineer

The AR to GL Reconciliation Report compares the account balances in
Oracle Receivables to those in Oracle General Ledger, and highlights
journal sources where discrepancies might exist. This report simplifies
the reconciliation process by comparing Receivables and General Ledger
account balances in a single place.

Steps to follow when your reconciling Receivables to General Ledger:

  1. Confirm that Receivables is balanced by running AR Reconciliation Report.  Receivables must be balanced for the period before Receivables to General Ledger can begin.
  2. Ensure that the previous period is reconciled.
  3. Verify that Receivables Journal Entries are posted to the correct General Ledger Accounts by running the AR to GL Reconciliation Report
  4. The Journal Entries Report in conjunction with the Account Analysis Report in General Ledger will need to run.  Using these reports you can review the details that make up your General Ledger journal entries.
