Announcing new SPARC64 X+ Processors for Fujitsu M10 Servers

On April 8 , 2014 Oracle announced the enhanced Fujitsu M10 - 1, Fujitsu M10 - 4 and Fujitsu M10 - 4S server with new and improved SPARC64 X+ processors.

The new SPARC64 X+ processor brings higher performance to the Fujitsu M10 servers. Depending on the Fujitsu M10 server model, the new SPARC64 X+ processor runs at 3.2 GHz to 3.7 GHz, which means that processor speeds have been increased by 14% to 23% compared to the previous generation SPARC64 X processor . The Fujitsu M10 servers enhanced with this new processor will enable increases in performance up to 1.3 times compared to the previous configurations. The server enhancements also bring additional capabilities for large scale clustering.
