No longer adventurously web serving

I have been working with, on, and around Web Server (known variously in that time as Netscape Enterprise Server, Netscape FastTrack Server, iPlanet Web Server, Sun ONE Web Server, Sun Java System Web Server, and now Sun Open Web Server) and Proxy Server since June of 1997. In that time I have known many fantastic people. Far too many of them to name them here, but fantastic people all.

I am saddened and apprehensive that today, Jan 22, that time is (evidently) at an end. I have been caught in Sun's most recent Reduction In Force (RIF).

Anyone that I have worked with that cares to reach me can do so via LinkedIn. My contact information is kept current there.

Thank you Netscape, AOL, iPlanet and Sun for allowing me to work on great products with great people. I am saddened to see this chapter of my life closed, but I am privileged to have been a part of this for the last twelve years.

It's been just about a year since I was laid off and this blog became abandoned.

If anyone out there is at all interested in my sporadic blog updates elsewhere then the go-to place is http://www.jmccabe.org/

Thanks!
