We kick off the week with an Introduction and Update: Oracle Data Relationship Management [CON8535]. If you've never known but have always wanted to learn what a master data change management solution like Oracle DRM can do for your enterprise, don't miss this session. We will give you a brief product introduction, share well known as well as emerging use cases, and give you a sense for product direction: what's new, what's coming, and what's planned. The centerpiece of this event will be a customer spotlight presentation by Gary Crisci of General Electric. GE has embarked on an sweeping, enterprise-wide financial chart of accounts standardization initiative that aligns a diverse set of business units (each having the heft of a large publicly traded company) with an enterprise standard chart of accounts that is set at the corporate level, while giving each business unit autonomy to maintain certain segments locally to operate most effectively. If you are looking to harmonize financial systems across a large, diversified, multinational corporation, this might be the best 45 minutes you spend at Openworld 2014!
Demogrounds will be open from 9:45am -- 6:00pm on Monday and you can find the Oracle DRM team in Moscone West at Demopod: WLL-004. We will be available Mon-Wed to discuss your interest in Oracle DRM, do a live show-and-tell demonstration and answer any questions. Please do stop by!

The highlight of DRM activities on Tuesday is the 6th annual DRM Customer Roundtable. Openworld offers a unique opportunity for us to meet with visiting customers from all over the world. It also gives Oracle DRM practitioners the unique opportunity to put a face to a name, expand one's network, exchange best practices, and quiz DRM product management on knotty design challenges, implementation best practices, features, roadmap items, and share your feedback. This year, we are hosting the DRM Customer Roundtable between 12 noon – 1:30pm PT, Tuesday, September 30, 2014, in Hotel Westin St. Francis, California East Room. If you are an Oracle customer, please RSVP by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Space is limited. Our apologies in advance to Oracle partners and employees; however, this event is reserved for customers only.
The DRM Customer Roundtable ends just in time for you to catch THE keynote event of the entire conference. Make your way to Moscone North, Hall D to hear Larry Ellison, Executive Chairman and Chief Technology Officer, Oracle, deliver his address.
At 5pm on Tuesday, be sure to stop by Moscone West 3010 to take An Oracle Data Relationship Governance Journey: ICAP Success Story [CON4936]. ICAP is a leading UK-based financial markets operator and provider of post trade risk mitigation and information services. When Oracle introduced its new and innovative Oracle Data Relationship Governance module in 2013, ICAP blazed the trail with us to federate the management of its chart of accounts to different business areas while retaining control over the impact of changes on business-critical financial applications. It replaced spreadsheet-based processes with automated, controlled, and audit-able workflows, leveraged our adaptive security and routing model to provide regional control over subsets of global hierarchies. Attend this session to learn the benefits delivered, challenges overcome, and lessons learned.
Oracle DRM is an industry leading multi-domain MDM solution and a core component of the Oracle MDM product family. As a DRM customer attendee, you are invited to the MDM Customer Appreciation Dinner. Invitations should be in your inbox! RSVP is requested. Reception begins promptly at 6pm.

The DRM Customer Panel takes center stage on Wednesday. Attend Customer Success: Transformative Governance with Oracle Data Relationship Management [CON8531] to learn from the success stories of four enterprises that have taken the journey with us. Presenters include Michael Manahan of ADM (Food Processing, Commodities), Chris Scala from Ameren Corporation (Utilities), Lisa Moran of MetLife (Financial Services), and Nikki Verhoff from Verizon Wireless (Communications). Whenever enterprises are confronted with challenges that demand financial, organizational, or systems transformations to leapfrog and deliver enterprise information structures and processes that drive business agility, flexibility and adaptability with low risk to make the proverbial elephant dance, they have done well to invest in a foundation built upon DRM, with common terms and definitions, referential integrity, data quality, change control and compliance peace-of-mind. Attend this session to learn how. Not from Oracle, but real-world practitioners who are leading such transformations and helping teach the proverbial elephant to dance.
Have a great conference! And, we look forward to seeing each of you soon!
