VirtualBox wins a BOSSIE (Best of Open Source Software award)

Not much to say in this blog entry, other than to point you to the InfoWorld slide that recognizes Sun's VirtualBox desktop virtualization software as a Best of Open Source Software award winner.

I use both VMware Fusion and VirtualBox on my notebook computer; I've been a happy user of VMware for years, but I hate having to pay for it over and over again each time I get a new major version. VirtualBox is free, and it runs on Windows, Linux, and Solaris desktops. It works just fine, and you can even take your VMware virtual machine images and migrate them into VirtualBox.

Pretty cool, huh? (well, I think so, anyway)
