Forgot A Scenario

Looks like we may have forgotten a scenario, the above is a blackbox in my driveway. It will be in the way of the basketball hoop but I can deal with that. I am thinking that I could just admin one of Sun's remote data centers... come one guys, I will give up the driveway space if you pay the electric bill. I can see the total use of these in the oil ridge setup that they have in the demo pictures. I mean the connectivity to the rigs can't be that great so send one of these out, collect up all the needed data and ship the entire data center home.

For what it's worth.

Blackbox Your Datacenter

Sun's Project Blackbox [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] is coming to a data center near you. That would be to create a portable version of your data center that can be take where it is needed.
The concept project dubbed Project Blackbox is a "data center in a box" with all the necessary servers, storage and networking equipment packed into a cushioned and cooled 20-foot-long cargo shipping container. Sun was unveiling the system Tuesday.

Only two prototypes have been produced so far, but the company hopes to begin full-scale production by next summer. The price hasn't been determined.

The idea eliminates several major hurdles facing data center customers: finding an appropriate site, arranging the servers and cooling mechanisms in the most efficient manner, and waiting for construction to be complete.

For what it's worth.
