Enterprise Pack for Eclipse 11gR1 (11.1.1.6) now available

So this newest release is a "staggered" release - meaning it supports two Eclipse platforms - both 3.6 and 3.5 to give users more time to migrate forward.

It's got lots of good stuff in it that's been covered in other blogs - Greg Stachnick has a good overview blog, Arun Gupta does a great job of demonstrating the GlassFish Server Plug-in project from Java.net that has now been rolled into the product.

One thing that Application Grid and Cloud computing enthusiasts will most definitely appreciate is that Enterprise Pack for Eclipse now has the distinction of being the *only* IDE that supports Oracle Coherence.  The Run configuration editor allows you to define, manage, run and debug coherence processes.  You can manage all the switches, java -D properties, JMX settings, logging, etc, as well as as editor for tangosol-coherence-override.xml.

tangosol-coherence-override.xml allows you to manage Cluster settings, configure single host clustering (useful for dev when there are other server on the same multicast network segment) and other overrides that are specific to your application that you do not want to inherit from default settings.

Hi, does anyone know if there is going to be Glassfish support on JDeveloper, I would love to see that

Yes that is most definitely planned. I'll inquire about what specifics we are allowed to post publicly.
