Break New Ground

The Joy of Oracle+PHP

Guest Author

On this, the opening day of the 2005 Zend/PHP Conference, OTN unveils its most significant PHP project yet: The Oracle+PHP Cookbook.

This cookbook, which will roll out over the course of several months, offers a huge range of basic-to-advanced "recipes" for combining the robustness of the Oracle infrastructure with the speed and flexibility of PHP in Web applications. It's a perfect complement to the free Zend Core for Oracle environment (GA as of last week) in fact. Many kudos to Cookbook managing editor John Alphonse!

BTW, if you're in Burlingame, Calif. for the conference (and why else would one be in Burlingame, Calif., exactly?), note Ken Jacobs' keynote and Richard Rendell's tech session, both on Wednesday afternoon. You can also attend an OTN "PHPfest" on Thursday evening, hosted by Chief Installfest Officer Todd Trichler.
