Can software save the world? In this program you’ll meet a group of people who believe the answer is a resounding yes.

But let me set the stage…

50 years ago the Cuyahoga River caught fire. That unfortunate event occurred near downtown Cleveland, just a few miles from where I’m sitting right now, and is probably why people in this area don’t need much convincing that human beings have an impact on the environment. But the word “impact” can also have positive implications.

In working toward a positive impact on the planet we call home, a group of software developers and IT professionals formed “For All a Beautiful Earth,” a non-profit organization also known by the acronym FABE (rhymes with “baby”). The developers at FABE have produced a mobile app that allows you to set goals and manage activities for reducing your personal impact on the environment.

Click play to learn more about FABE and its mission from four key members of the team.
