So what does Oracle have to do with open source ?
at least two developers asked me that question today.
My response, " well we run a good portion of our business on linux. we also have a dedicated kernel team that is working very hard to get OCFS2 a GPL'd cluster file system ready for production use and inclusion in the mainline linux kernel.
And right next to me we have two developers (Chris and Richard) from our Melbourne development center who have been working with the PHP development community to increase the performance and ease of use of Oracle with PHP applications."
I then proceed to point out the OSS, linux and PHP centers on OTN, and offer them a copy of Oracle DB on Linux and the Java, WebServices & PHP developer CD.
