  • "Thanks to a sharp focus on CEP infrastructure and a team that focuses on in-memory query languages across a wide variety of industries, Oracle was able to provide FXall with tools based on the BEA WebLogic Event Server. These features and more can now be found in Oracle CEP 10gR3."

  • Oracle ACE Director Mike Van Alst on the SOA & BPM Symposium he and fellow ACEs Lonneke Dikmans and Lucas Jellema have organized at the upcoming ODTUG: 'It will be a very interactive meeting of minds. • Times are tough, but it cutting the IT budget the best move? Oracle ACE Director Mike Van Alst thinks not. "Yes, IT budget is usually large, and therefore suspect. However, it is usually a fraction of the total costs of an organization. Just getting rid of external consultants (which is sometimes a good idea, anyway) will save you money in the short run, but what does cutting your IT budget mean for the long term? I think that in the long run, it will cost the organization more."

  • "Experts can be dangerous," writes Oracel ACE Bex Huff, "not because they don't know what they are doing; but because you don't know when they don't know what they are doing. And if you are unable to notice this, then you will likely lose a lot of money."
