JDeveloper Cleans Up at the JavaPolis RAD Race

Guest Author

Dateline, Antwerp: The results are in from the RAD Race at JavaPolis, in which two-member teams race to build a working J2EE application for a given business problem within 12 hours. Kinda like "Iron Chef" for geeks.

Here's the rub: the jury settled on a three-way tie for the prize, and of that winning group, all three teams used Oracle JDeveloper 10g as their IDE and two of the three teams used Oracle ADF as their framework. One of the three teams was representing Oracle itself, in fact -- congrats, Duncan Mills and Steve Muench!

Here are the winners along with their weapons of choice:

Logica CMG - Oracle JDeveloper 10g 10.1.2 IDE, Struts, JSP, Oracle ADF Framework, and Oracle JHeadstart
Oracle - Using Oracle JDeveloper 10g 10.1.3 IDE, JavaServer Faces, Oracle ADF Framework
AXI - Using Oracle JDeveloper 10g 10.1.2 IDE and an in-house framework
