As blogged by Jonas Jacobi, Oracle has donated its ADF Faces framework to Apache as the new MyFaces Cherokee Project. This donation comprises 100+ JSF components, HTML RenderKit with AJAX, optimized component storage support, and quite a bit more. According to Jonas Oracle will continue to provide a commercial version of ADF Faces.This is going to go a long way toward "unifying" the component library available to java developers working in JSF.
