ODTUG – Vote for you favorite abstract
By Jean-Pierre Dijcks-Oracle on Jan 19, 2011
If you are going to ODTUG this year you should take the chance to vote on the peoples choice awards. I did, and it is quite fun to see who is leading the race. It is as with the Oscars, so much fun to see who will win and of course to predict who will win...
Here are my hopes (fully biased on unabashedly mine):
Database Development - click here to vote yourself. My votes would be to see the SQL Developer Data Modeler session as I'm very interested in data modeling and would love to see some more on that tool. On the second session I would pick the Explain plan session, as I believe we can never explain that enough. And nope, don't know the presenters.
BI - click here to vote yourself. My vote goes to BI Servers vs. Database - Data Aggregation when where and how. For two reasons, one I think the topic is an interesting one that every DW/BI architect should be thinking about. Second, I do know the speaker, and you will be ensured a solid presentation with very useful information to take home. I do have to admit that the other topic in this poll - ODI metadata analytics is very compelling, so if we can have two winners, I would certainly vote for that!
I did look at the EPM abstracts for the peoples choice award, and I couldn't quite pick one. Just a bit out of the way from my golden path...
If you are not going to ODTUG, you should change your mind and convince whomever to let you go. This 2011 edition will be my 9th time to be at ODTUG and I loved all of them. There are just so many good speakers and it is just fun to be at ODTUG. So see you there!
