Database Machine Customer Success Stories

Recently I saw some interesting stories from a few customers, in this case in EMEA and APAC. I won't comment too much on the details as the customers do so in the links here other than saying that Banca Transilvania is a Sun Oracle Database Machine customer (the new V2 system).

Enjoy the reading as customers being successful is always fun to read about.

Jean-Pierre, Are there any papers out in the wild on OBIEE and Exadata V2? Looking for examples to present to my current client and need something more than, "it rocks!" ;) chet

Hi Chet, Do you really need more? Would make for a short and sweet presentation ;-) I'm not sure if there are papers on OBI EE and Exadata v2, however I think you should look for OBI EE and Oracle 11gR2. You will be connecting the OBI EE components to a "vanilla" 11g database and it will just fly due to the underlying architecture. Now there are some potentially interesting pieces around the Flash cache where you could see a large benefit by caching large pieces of the OBI EE physical structures and therefore get OLAP like performance on relational queries. From the architecture in general OBI EE and a database machine (or something with Exadata storage) would be set up similar to a non-Exadata system. Hope this makes sense! JP
