In today’s 24/7, fast-paced world, real-time data replication
is a critical technology to support mission-critical systems. The real challenge
is to perform this real-time data movement with a solution that is flexible and
reliable in terms of speed and data delivery. At OpenWorld 2011 we will hear from an industry leader, Sprint , how
they leveraged Oracle GoldenGate in achieving real-time data replication with
high-speed, reliability and flexibility to support heterogeneous data sources.
Sprint implemented GoldenGate in multiple strategic projects. One of these key projects that this session will highlight is their data warehousing solution. Sprint uses GoldenGate to feed customer billing information from their hosted billing systems to their on-premise Data Warehouse, giving them a complete picture of their business. The session will include the techniques Sprint used to meet target environment’s SLAs and how they handled end-of-day processing challenges in its data warehouse, using Oracle GoldenGate's high-performance and low-impact data integration technology.
Another important project that Sprint will cover is their database upgrades with Oracle GoldenGate, which they were able to complete without interrupting their business operations.
I strongly recommend attending this session, to hear from Sprint's GoldenGate expert directly how they selected the technology and how they used it in solving multiple challenges across their organization.
