Oracle has once again, been named a Leader in the 2022 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Data Integration Tools.  This year, Gartner concluded that “the data integration tools market is seeing renewed momentum driven by urgent requirements for multi-cloud and hybrid data management, and data fabric design patterns.  We think that in comparison to last year, Oracle has significantly improved its position in the Leaders quadrant.

Gartner complements their Magic Quadrant with a detailed analysis of the critical capabilities of each vendor’s solution in their 2022 Gartner® Critical Capabilities for Data Integration Tools.  Of note, Oracle ranks 2nd  for Data Engineering, Cloud Data Integration and Data Fabric Use Case and 3rd for Operational Data Integration Use Case.

“We are honored to be named a Leader in the 2022 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools.  It’s now been fourteen consecutive years,” said Jeff Pollock, Vice President Product Management, Oracle. “We thank our customers for their partnership and collaboration. Over the past two decades, Oracle has continuously invested in an expanding our comprehensive portfolio of data integration solutions that enable customers to dynamically connect data and automate data delivery across their data fabric.

A key reason for our product success is our unified development, operations, and support strategy across engineering teams spanning Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Database, Oracle GoldenGate, and Oracle Data Integration.  Our latest cloud deployments, appeal to both our large legacy install base and our newest cloud-only customers.  We look forward to many more years helping our customers achieve more with their data and investing in market-leading innovations.”

Gartner characterizes the data integration tools market into four operational and analytics uses that most enterprises face today.

  1. Data engineering that supports engineering data pipelines in support of optimized delivery of analytics, data warehouse, data lakes, data science, and machine learning.
  2. Cloud data integration that includes migrating and modernizing data workloads in the public cloud with an architecture that spans on-premises and one or more cloud ecosystems (hybrid/multicloud).
  3. Operational data integration that supports operational/transactional data integration use cases such as master data management (MDM), interenterprise data acquisition and sharing, B2B data sharing, synchronizing data related to critical business processes, and supporting data governance initiatives.
  4. Data fabrics that support use cases related to the emerging data fabric design. This includes the ability to enable faster access to trusted data across distributed landscapes by utilizing active metadata, semantics and ML capabilities.

The Oracle Integration product portfolio is a comprehensive and integrated collection of data integration capabilities across all of these areas. Only through integrating across the abundance of source and target systems in real-time, can customers achieve smarter and faster business decisions and actions. To experience some of this diversity, see the connectivity that Oracle GoldenGate offers here.

Those at the leading edge of data integration are seeking real-time operational and analytical data integration from a diverse collection of resilient data stores.  Innovations have been relentless as fast data architecture evolves into streaming analytics.  Operational high availability has led to real-time analytics, and data engineering automation is simplifying data preparation, enabling data scientists and analysts with self-service tools.  For more thoughts about transforming your data estate into a highly responsive data mesh, read the Oracle Data Mesh E-Book.
