Oracle GoldenGate Monitor is Now Available
By Maria Pratt on Nov 09, 2011
I am very happy to inform our GoldenGate community that the Management Pack for Oracle GoldenGate has been enhanced to include a more sophisticated monitoring component, Oracle GoldenGate Monitor. This tool provides users with a single, end-to-end view of all of their real-time replication implementation solutions. By drilling down on automatically generated solutions or customized views, users can easily determine key information such as checkpoint status, lag, and last error log message, as well as the current number of inserts, updates, and deletes.
In addition to accessing these views, users can also choose to integrate Oracle GoldenGate Monitor with their existing notification infrastructure by taking advantage of its sophisticated alerts, based on SNMP, email and command line integration (CLI) for third-party call outs. These alerts can automatically notify the user, by sending e-mail, for example, or by calling an external program, when a specified threshold for any captured monitoring point is met.
Oracle GoldenGate Monitor takes advantage of the lightweight agent that is included with Oracle GoldenGate Release 220.127.116.11.1 and higher. Each agent collects information about its instance and sends it to the GoldenGate Monitor Server, which coordinates the monitoring of multiple instances and displays this information to the web browser. I invite you to learn more about Oracle GoldenGate Monitor, by reading the Management Pack for Oracle GoldenGate Data Sheet or downloading the latest version of the software.
