Oracle Data Integrator at Oracle Open World - Day 2
By Madhu Nair on Sep 24, 2013
Day 2 at the Open world just concluded with a lot of great sessions and hands on labs and the Oracle Data Integration Team still has lots more lined up over the next couple of days.
A key highlight session today was "Extracting Strategic Insights from Business Data with Oracle Data Integrator" hosted by Christophe Dupupet and Jayant Mahto highlighting how the latest release of BI Applications features ODI underneath the hoods. Quite simply put it all boils down to three key benefits. Faster, Simpler and Cheaper.
Faster because ODI does ELT Bulk and Batch processing, real-time integration with CDC and SOA, and easier setup, design and delivery. Simpler because of easy configuration, monitoring and mappings using the Declarative Design, and easily extensible through knowledge modules. Cheaper and lower TCO because of less hardware and energy costs incurred with ELT architecture and less integration overhead with SOA applications.
Customers can now work with the ODI Knowledge modules to extract the full capabilities of their BI Application Installation.
However even if you missed out on the session you can still catch it in action at the Data Integration Demo Booths at the Exhibition Hall in Moscone South.
Rest well as tomorrow is going to be packed with great sessions on both ODI and Golden Gate. You can find tomorrow's schedule for Oracle Data Integration at Data Integration Focus On.
