Macy's Chose Oracle Exadata Cloud for Integrated Experience

Margaret Hamburger
Senior Director of Product Marketing

The best part of my work is when I get to interact directly with Oracle customers. During Oracle Open World 2016 I was lucky to be involved in an Oracle customer event that recognized Oracle Cloud Platform Innovation. Macy's was one of three customers to receive an Oracle Data Management Cloud Innovation award.  Not only was this a great honor for Macy's and Oracle, the excitement on stage was contagious, and it was truly heart warming to hear Anantha Srirama, Macy's VP of Systems & Technology accept the award on behalf of his entire team. Before the end of a very busy week, Macy's participated in a video interview which I'm pleased to share with you now.

I spoke with many customers (large and small) during Oracle Open World 2016. One common denominator is the fact that other cloud vendors deliver cloud services that require customers to integrate into useful solutions, whereas Oracle delivers integrated cloud solutions and support services bundled together. In Macy's case they chose Oracle Exadata Cloud Service because they run Oracle Exadata on-premises.
