Find out where CPQ certification can take youIf you have a hand in configure, price, quote (CPQ) processes or use a CPQ solution, becoming a certified CPQ specialist can give you a competitive edge.

What can a CPQ certification do for you?

Earning a well-respected CPQ credential demonstrates your IT expertise in the marketplace, helping you become a better specialist, improve your job prospects and stability, and advance your career.

Here are the top reasons to invest in a CPQ certification.

Salary advancement

Companies value skilled workers, and you’re more likely to receive a promotion or salary increase after completing a certification. According to Certification Magazine’s 2022 Salary Survey, 57.1% of US respondents reported earning a raise in the first year after attaining a new IT certification.

Career growth

Companies need skilled resources to design, build, and implement critical functionality throughout the CPQ process. Earning a certification equips you with these in-demand skills, leading to greater confidence and increased career security.

Competitive advantage

The rigorous process of becoming certified makes you a better specialist. The skills and knowledge you gain by becoming certified will also help you unlock opportunities at your current company or with potential employers.

What’s covered in a CPQ certification?

Many certifications cover the integral processes that make up CPQ and the technologies you need to manage them. For example, the Oracle CPQ Implementation Essentials exam has 55 multiple choice questions and takes 90 minutes to complete. Led by an Oracle University instructor and subject matter expert, it will teach you the key concepts and processes involved in implementing Oracle Configure, Price, Quote, Oracle’s CPQ solution.

2. Prepare for the exam. Study your training materials, tackle sample exam questions, and build hands-on experience before exam day. Remember: You’ll need a grade of at least 70% to earn your credential.

3. Register and take the exam. Oracle Cloud Learning subscribers get a CPQ exam voucher at no extra charge. If you don’t have a subscription, you can take the exam for $245.

4. Authenticate your CertView account. Within 30 minutes of completing your exam, you can sign in to CertView and select the option to “See My New Exam Result Now.” (You must create an Oracle account to access your results.)
