Leaders will bring their customers a cohesive and integrated – yet highly open and extensible - customer experience (CX) platform on which to build their business. These commerce leaders must support the following standards.
1) Pervasive commerce - Commerce engagements often lead the digital customer journey and are growing at an exponential rate. Next generation providers will take an API-first approach with an open and standards-based platform of tools and technologies to support innovation in order to support the customer journey.
2) Beyond commerce – For several years, ecommerce has been much more than just a shopping cart for B2C retail. The next era requires a single platform for brands to build their B2C interactions as well as their B2B trading partners across all industries. The capabilities for a next-gen digital commerce solution include innovations such as hyper personalized marketing and recommendations, built-in A/B testing and powerful search to re-ordering and support for complex products and services.
3) Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning Infused Commerce – AI/ML data can help online brands to provide better customer experiences and also identify insights and recommendations to business users on how to make decisions that further optimize their business.
