It has been six years since I first started working with Oracle Service Cloud and as I reflect back, I can't help but think of the reasons why I love doing what I do. It comes down to two words, customer experience. I have built my career on helping people around me achieve their goals and the results can have a rippling effect. As Oracle Service Cloud administrators and developers, each of us helps deliver more meaningful moments to customers all over the world by building a more robust and efficient system. These moments transcend into thousands of customer experiences over several channels. The realization that I could impact not one but sometimes thousands of people was intoxicating and it's why I love doing what I do. My actions alone do not achieve
greatness, it takes a village, or in this case, a community.
Every day hundreds of users click onto the community either by searching or posting their questions. Some of these questions are mission critical whereas other might be asking for best practices or helpful hints. Regardless of the question, the community is an environment that fosters open discussion, collaboration and a place to gain knowledge. While Oracle employees do play a role, the community's helpful answers usually derive from customers and consultants who work with the Oracle Service Cloud. These contributors share their hard-earned expertise, solutions, and advice with others on a volunteer basis, which brings me to our 2017 Oracle Service Cloud Community All-Stars.
Combined, these 11 All-Stars impact hundreds if not thousands of Oracle Service Cloud users on an annual basis by sharing knowledge, expertise and sometimes even a virtual shoulder to cry on. In speaking to each, one common goal is apparent which is to help continue the success of the Oracle Service Cloud and deliver exemplary customer experiences. The impact of these All-Stars far surpasses anything I have done to help and because of this, I am humbled by their presence.

To become a Community All-Star, a member must demonstrate both expertise and a willingness
to roll up ones sleeves and be a leader within the Oracle Service Cloud community. These members not only engage frequently, but also have a consistent track record of delivering quality responses. In other words, All-Star members know their stuff and are willing to share knowledge with their peers.
This year, we have identified new ways for an All-Star to qualify such as developing recipes for the Analytics Cookbook as Bastiaan, Dietrik and Carl have done or by being a strong Oracle Service Cloud advocate by sharing experiences through blog posts and social media as well as having a strong community presence such as Luis (aka Doctor CX). Although the ways an All-Star contributes may be varied, the impact each has on the larger Service Cloud user base is great. If you believe you have what it takes to be included amongst the best of the best, reach out to me for more info!
Please join me in thanking these All-Stars for volunteering their time, sharing their knowledge and allowing each of us to have a better community and more importantly, a better Service Cloud experience.
