CTI v1.1 is released!

I'm very pleased to announce a new version of CTI (1.1) that was released today. The CTI tool is available at cti.sunvirtuallab.com, as usual. Are you interested what's new at this minor version? Then read the lines below or just look at the introductory video explaining everything important in this new version.

The list of new features is the following:

  • The first and major change is a registration process and ability to change user preferences. From version 1.1 any new user has to fill in Sun Contributor Agreement (SCA) ID before creating new account. Together with this ID, one can choose a project he/she is willing to translate and target language. After login you can see the only projects that belong to project and language you have chosen. For existing users it means, that they will need to update their accounts especially their SCA ID during next several weeks in order to make sure that all contributions are compliant with SCA. Together with this step, new Terms of Use document was modified, so now it is compatible with SCA form.
  • Information about number of words each project contains (called wordcount). From now you can see how big each project is in comparison with others project/languages.
  • CTI filters - even though such feature already exists for some time, I'd like to introduce it again - since I consider it as very useful feature. See the CTI blog article for more details.
  • Statistics - a comparison matrix showing CTI projects and their translation status for all languages

Together with those features, several bug fixes have also been delivered. For current status see CTI RFE/Bug page at wikis.sun.com

I would like to say that the CTI team is very eager to hear from you. It means that if you have any Bug or Request for Enhancement, please send us an email or put your request to wikis site directly. I hope you will enjoy translation with a new version of CTI 1.1
