CTI v1.0 is released
By Ales Cernosek on Feb 26, 2009
After several months of running a Pilot Project of Community Translation Interface (CTI 1.0 Beta), we are pleased to announce an official release of the CTI, version 1.0. The tool is available at a standard location http://cti.sunvirtuallab.com.
CTI tool is a web application for open-source community translators. It allows to translate OpenSource projects that are supported by Sun Microsystems. Main goal was to create a simple lightweight application where one can translate the content easily in a while without dealing with technical details like message files format, source paths (or repositories) where those files are stored and integration schedules. By using CTI you can just focus on translation and testing before the messages are integrated into particular workspaces.
For now, OpenSolaris is the major project running in CTI. Translation of other projects, like Netbeans or Glassfish, is currently in a pilot/test phase.
