Sauce Video Brings Glass to Glass Video Support for Oracle's CX Content

April Thomas
Sr Product Strategist

In April of this year Oracle finalized its acquisition of Sauce Video and with that CX Content's plan of having a glass to glass video solution was solidified.  A third (1/3) of all online activity is spent watching video (siteefy.com) - ONE THIRD! Video consumption is quickly becoming the favorite medium for users to interact with a brand and is top of mind for every marketer around the globe.

For Oracle CX Content product strategy it was not just about building a centralized asset hub, Smart Content, taxonomies, simplified UI, etc - these are all phenomenal features but at the core it was about simplifying the world of content creation, curation and management.  It was about making the lives of the creators easier so they could create more and take those creations out to the world in any channel they want, and this vision always included video.  A plan that was comprised of being able to create video content, edit that content and optimize the streaming of video content all while housing the content in a centralized asset hub that can easily push that video content to any channel to create any experience.

So what does Sauce actually do?

Sauce enables global businesses to collaborate and create video with their employees, communities, fans and customers at scale - powered by smartphone cameras. The enterprise ready, cloud-based solution removes barriers to video creation empowering teams to create engaging content and obtain user generated content in a fast, easy and efficient way for a multitude of channels and audiences.

How Does it Work?

Video Project Creation Made Easy:  Create a video project and invite your employees, fans or community to capture and upload videos with their smartphone camera. Direct them with the Shot List feature, making it easy for them to capture quality content that you are looking for.

Creators can then watch and review uploaded content collaboratively. Add tags, labels and communicate with your team with in-platform messaging.  From a desktop or mobile device the easy-to-use tools automate complex editing tasks so everyone can create. Users can even add in branding, music and more to curate the right video for their intended audience.  Easily incorporate beautiful videos to any campaign!

Use Cases

Brands are powered by their communities. The real people who buy, build and embrace your products can offer authentic stories that portray your brand message in the most unique way. Marketers are leveraging Sauce not just for marketing promotion but as a way to aggregate user generated content from influencers, customers and fans to incorporate a more authentic story to their campaigns.

Its not just for the marketer though!  Sauce provides an easy way to create internal communications and enablement for teams to drive stronger employee engagement.  For me as a Product Manager I use it weekly to update sales globally on all things going on with Oracle CX Content.  It's fast, simple and great way to provide quick insight, tips and tricks to a global audience.

With the addition of Sauce to Oracle CX Content marketers and all users are empowered like never before to manage all content, in any context for any experience. The possibilities are truly endless.
