The new global event is designed to support Oracle customers and partners no matter where they are in their journey to the cloud.

Oracle customers and partners can now register for Oracle CloudWorld, which takes place October 17 to 20, 2022, in Las Vegas. Oracle CloudWorld is a brand-new global event designed to support customers and partners at any stage in their journey to the cloud.

“This is an event for a world that has changed significantly in the last few years,” says Luca Balbo, vice president of corporate events at Oracle. “Oracle has changed with it and continues to evolve ahead of the tech game to help customers and partners be successful.”

Balbo adds: “The Oracle CloudWorld name recognizes the central role of the cloud today. But the event targets the Oracle community at large.”

It's been nearly three years since Oracle held a large, in-person event due to the worldwide pandemic, but Balbo explains that demand for in-person events is on the rise. Indeed, customers, partners, and other members of the Oracle ecosystem have requested a return to live events.

“This is a new event for a world that has changed significantly in the last few years.”
—Luca Balbo, Vice President of Corporate Events, Oracle

According to Balbo, the extended hiatus since Oracle’s last major in-person event (Oracle OpenWorld 2019) gave planners an opportunity to reengineer the Las Vegas experience. For example, there is now an appetite for shorter sessions and a desire for more networking time with peers and experts. There is an appreciation for events that are shorter, less expensive to attend (at a time of increased global economic pressure), and more customizable. Oracle CloudWorld was designed from the ground up to meet these needs.

Oracle CloudWorld content is also focused on specific attendee needs and priorities. The agenda is based on input from thousands of customers and partners. Balbo recognizes that attendees will be looking for specific takeaways from their trip to the event. “We are successful when our customers and partners are successful,” he says. “So, we want to deliver an event that first and foremost meets their expectations.”

Oracle CloudWorld will include:

  • Three days in Las Vegas, October 17 to 20, 2022
  • Customers, partners, and leaders from every business area Oracle serves
  • Product development teams from Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), cloud applications, and database services
  • Demos, training, and insights from Oracle experts

“An in-person experience gives us all the ability to network with each other and learn from our experiences and successes from the last few difficult years,” says Balbo. “This is an opportunity to explore every tool Oracle offers with the people who develop and deploy them, all under one roof. There is no other experience in the world that can offer all of this.”

There are already hundreds of Oracle CloudWorld sessions planned, with more being added on an ongoing basis. Oracle will release more information about keynotes, technical workshops, and first-look product demos regularly through the summer months and up until the event in October. You can learn about the latest confirmed program elements and register for the event at oracle.com/cloudworld.
